Employment Application Forms
Persons interested in submitting an application for employment with the South Jefferson Central School District should use one of the applications listed below. Instructions for completing and submitting each application are on the cover page.- Teacher Employment Application
- Support Staff Employment Application (Examples of positions using this application are; Secretary and Office Staff, Transportation Staff, Cafeteria Staff, Buildings and Grounds Staff, Teacher Assistant, Teacher Aide, and Nurse.)
Substitute Teacher Employment
- Applicant must have at least 60 college credits from an accredited college or university.
- Applicant must complete an application and submit three (3) letters of reference (at least one from a previous employer and no family members).
- Applicant must be fingerprinted through the New York State Education Department.
When the above are submitted to the District Office, you will be contacted by phone with detailed information. Once approved by administration, the candidate's name is presented to the Board of Education for final approval. Once that is completed, the applicant's will attend a substitute training session (see dates below) and the name goes on the daily "to call" list.

Summer Recreation Aquatics/Activities Director Vacancy
South Jefferson Central School District has a vacancy for a 2024 Summer Recreation Aquatics/Activities Director to oversee lifeguards, certification, general pool use, along with swim tests, swim lessons, and coordination. Must be 21 years old with two years of lifeguarding experience. Hours are 7:30 am to 2:30 pm Mondays through Thursdays with extended hours on Fridays for the trips. The rate is $25/hour. Athletic Trainer Vacancy
South Jefferson Central School District has a vacancy for an Athletic Trainer effective for the 2023-2024 school year. NYS certification required.
